Helena Community Credit Union’s Night to Shine
Helena Community Credit Union’s Night to Shine teen talent show marked its tenth year in February 2003 with the fourth sell-out audience at Helena’s Civic Center. Performers have entertained sell out crowds every year since 1999. Night to Shine, created by HCCU president/CEO Gene Bowen, has become a popular community event that not only helps Helena’s high school DECA* clubs raise money, but offers students valuable experience in marketing and advertising the show.
For ten years, all proceeds from Night to Shine’s ticket sales go to Helena High and Capital High DECA clubs where the money is used to send students to national competitions and student scholarship funds. The clubs have earned nearly $60,000 since the show’s beginnings a decade ago.
This year, proceeds from the 10th Annual Night to Shine totaled $9,000.00 and checks of $4,500.00 were awarded to each DECA club.
